• Armed with a bit of knowledge about what Twitter is all about, share your thoughts on this fast growing online phenomenon.

Holy Smokes! Do people REALLY need to do this. I can't believe that there is texting and blogging and twittering...can't folks just pick up the phone or better yet write a real letter/note to someone with 'snail mail'. I know whenever I receive an actual letter it puts a smile on my face. I guess technology can just leave me behind!!!

Do you see any practical applications for LibraryThing either at home or at work? Will you start using this site?

I can see the practical application for LibraryThing if keeping a list of the books that you have read is important to you. I used to keep a list at home at one time but have since stopped making one. I think if you are a real 'techy' type and like to have lots of your information on sites, this will one for people to add. Myself, I am a more private soul and prefer to keep my private life private.

• Do you see yourself using these tools or will you stick to more traditional methods. If you were to use one of these tools regularly, which would it be and why?

I think that I will continue to use my own style of keeping organized. Things are changing so fast in technology that I am sure some of these products will become outdated in no time. I am one who is not too trusting of the world wide web and prefer to keep my business to myself.

Comment on Flickr and YouTube. Were they user-friendly?

Both of these sites were user friendly. And entertaining...
Were you able to successfully set up your RSS feed? If not, where did you run into problems? If you were successful, does this make information-gathering more convenient for you?

I can imagine that this will make information-gathering more convenient. Thank heaven for Maureen being around to help as I did run into some problems. However, once she showed me how it was much easier to figure it out.

What do you like about the Google product? What do you dislike? Would you recommend the product to friends and colleagues?

I really enjoy using google map and google earth. It is interesting to take a look at your own home and that of people you know. Google earth allows you to look at a destination and check out what the environment is like. They even show parking lots!
The only thing I don't like is that some privacy boundaries may have been crossed.
I would recommend these products to friends.

For you, is Facebook useful or a time-waster?

Well that's a loaded question...in many ways one could definatley spend too much time on Facebook but that is choice one has to make.
I do find Facebook helpful in discovering what my teenager is up to. Not that I am spying on him, just keeping tabs on him.
